When you're here

Lochs, Castles, Historic Cities, Walking, Fishing, Golf, Cycling...

There is a huge amount for you to do. We’ll mention a few things below, but come and have a chat with us when you arrive and we can make sure you get the most from your visit to the area.

Dunblane: 0 minutes, Stirling: 10 minutes, Bridge of Allan: 5 minutes, Callander: 15 minutes,
Perth: 20 minutes,Glasgow: 30 minutes, Edinburgh: 45 minutes.

Historic sites:

There is no better place to take a crash course in Scotland’s turbulent history. Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Doune Castle (of Monty Python fame!) and Callendar House are just a few of the historic sites on our doorstep. We’re perfectly located for exploring the wider area and all that Central Scotland, Edinburgh, Glasgow and The Trossachs have to offer.

For big kids and small kids:

Situated at the foot of Holmehill, there are many paths through the mature woodland for you to enjoy as well as some great climbing trees.  The local play parks are within a couple of minutes walk and are well maintained.

  • Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park
  • Briarlands Farm
  • Falkirk Wheel
  • The Kelpies/Helix Park
  • Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre
  • Go Ape Aberfoyle

The great outdoors:

There’s too much to mention; gentle walks, scaling munros, fly fishing, mountain bike trails or challenging golf courses, we can guarantee there’s something for everyone.

  • Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
  • Cruise across Loch Katrine
  • Golf at Gleneagles
  • Salmon fishing on the Forth

And then there’s the Whisky Distilleries, Highland Games, Comedy Festivals, Farmers Markets …

Oh, and we mustn't forget, Dunblane's most famous son, Andy Murray.  No visit to Dunblane is complete without having your photo taken next to our golden post box.
